Droylsden held on for the replay at the Giant Axe yesterday after being forced to play much of the game with ten men after debutant Ryan Winder saw a straight red after just twenty minutes of the game.

Bloods 1-1 Stalybridge Celtic (Celtic win 5-4 on pens)

The seventh spot kick at the end from Bloods defender Phil Clarke was the difference between the two sides after it had finished all square after 90 minutes.

However the game was marred by a serious injury to the Stalybridge Full back Sam Tattum who was carried from the field in the first half after a clash with Bloods striker Steve Lewis.

It finished all square at the Butcher’s Arms but The Bloods will be disappointed, especially after their second half performance, that they didn't come away with all three points against Scarborough Athletic.

Burscough 1-1 Droylsden

A stoppage time equaliser from former Droylsden striker Dominic Smith cancelled out a first half own goal and continued Bloods winless run at Burscough’s Victoria Park on Tuesday night.

In another poor performance against a team rooted to the foot of the table and yet to win this season, the Bloods failed to make much of an impression in front of goal.

Droylsden 1-2 Brighouse

The Bloods crashed to another home defeat as high flying Brighouse took all three points at the Butcher’s Arms.

Droylsden named an unchanged starting eleven from the team that drew at Glossop in midweek but found themselves a goal down after just two minutes when full back Shaquille Clarke’s back pass was intercepted by Luke Parkin, whose shot gave James Coates no chance.

Glossop North End 2-2 Droylsden

An eleventh goal this season and an assist from Steve Lewis either side of half time rescued a point for Droylsden after they had fallen two goals behind at Glossop North End.

Trailing after forty five minutes the striker ran into the penalty area from the left to find Liam Caddick to give the Bloods hope at the interval and four minutes into the second half, shrugged off the challenge of Glossop right back Iwan Heeley before turning in the penalty area and hitting the back of the net giving Matt Cooper no chance in the North End goal,

Clitheroe 3-2 Bloods

The Bloods suffered their fourth league defeat in a row as Dave Pace’s team once again played catch up at Clitheroe’s ShawBridge ground.

There were two changes from the team that lost to Bamber Bridge, Billy Hasler Cregg, signed on loan this week from Altrincham and Amour Cesaire starting with Liam Caddick and Eddie Toner dropping to the bench.

The home side started the stronger and after just three minutes a shit from outside the box from Brad Knox forced a fine save from Coates.

Bloods 0-1 Bamber Bridge

A save from the penalty spot by Bamber Bridge keeper Marcus Burgess secured all three points in this tightly fought game at the Butcher’s Arms after Adam Dodd had put the visitors ahead on 51 minutes.

Striker Steve Lewis was tripped as he tried to turn on the edge of the area but his spot kick was turned onto the bar by the keeper.

Ramsbottom 3-2 Bloods

It was second successive league defeat for the Bloods as they lost by the odd goal to Ramsbottom at the Harry Williams Stadium.

It was Droylsden who started the game the stronger, and took the lead after twelve minutes when Liam Caddick broke down the right hand side to find striker Steve Lewis in space who superbly finished to beat Shenton.

The Bloods look to return to winning ways this afternoon as they visit Ramsbottom in the Evo Stik Division One North Game on Non League Day

Rammy's new look team which was relegated from the Premier Division last season, are celebrating fifty years of existence this season, and will be looking to bounce back after suffering a 4-0 Bank Holiday hammering at Clitheroe,

Droylsden likewise will be looking to banish the Bank Holiday blues after their disappointing defeat to local rivals Mossley.
