Droylsden returned to winning ways, but will be disappointed with another dismissal to add to their disciplinary woes.  Cables, on the other hand, were second best all day and continue to languish in the bottom three.

It was a dream debut for Andrew Fowler, signed in midweek from Marine, who netted with his first touch after just 42 seconds, and adding the fourth to cap a fine display.

The Bloods were two up inside five minutes when Ciaran Kilheeney converted a penalty after Michael Monaghan had been fouled following a driving run by Fowler.

Cables halved the deficit through Rob Doran, but Adam Morning curled a beauty beyond Tom Quinn to restore The Bloods’ two goal cushion on the half hour mark.

Ally Brown had to clear off the Droylsden line from Jack Philips, before Kevin Leadbetter saw red for a two footed challenge on Phillips.  However, Droylsden still managed to add to their total with Fowler’s second.

Ex-Blood Neil Prince and Doran could have reduced the arrears for Prescot, but Droylsden also saw a Jake Hibbs volley cleared of the visitors’ line as the hosts ran out comfortable victors ahead of a challenging December schedule.

Prescot C.      Quinn, Griffiths, O’Reilly (Ryan, 21’), Maculloch, Dodo, Evans, Doran, Bannister (Boothman, 46’), Whitehall, Philips, Corlett (Prince, 63’).  Subs not used – Edgar, Golding.
